Girl this rocks I'll take a spot.

prvrbs31gal 01-18-2009 04:47 AM

I need to see if I can actually FIND my glossy cardstock first. It occurs to me that I don't remember unpacking it... but I know I bought a whole package and don't think I used more than a couple sheets... it's got to be here somewhere!!!

amsmiles 01-18-2009 05:29 AM

I have a dumb question! LOL I do not have any glossy card stock, but do you think photo paper would work?

AnnMarie : )

aprillower 01-18-2009 06:02 AM

I had been looking at some of the threads earlier and I know some of the techniques do NOT come out right on photo paper but I don't know if that is for all the techniques. You are more then welcome to play around with some and see what you come up with though! And it's not a dumb question, others have actually asked the same thing, that's how I know!!! ;)

kestril00 01-18-2009 06:04 AM

I used to use glossy paper all the time and haven't for ages, I'll have to do this.

AnnMarie - I've never used photo paper, but a SS sent me a package once and said it worked great for her, she never used anything else. (I'm still using up the first package of glossy I bought so haven't tried the photo paper.)

Guess what...the next round is all yours!!! I will let you know when to post. (you have 2 weeks though) and I will take care of the survey. I think I got it all down pat now! It wasn't as easy to navigate as I thought it was going to be!

This is going to be a fun challenge. I think I might try the soot. I haven't done it before and I might just need to play with some fire! Good thing my DH is a firefighter huh!!! LOL!

mnewby 01-18-2009 02:14 PM

I don't have glossy paper either but before I bought a whole pack I was going to try my photo paper. I think I'm actually going to play with this tonight because I'm kid free and it's only 615pm. So I'm going to spend some QT crafting.

Thanks April ... I have no clue what to do yet ... I will think of something ...

simplechef 01-18-2009 05:13 PM

Oh, yes, I will participate! This has been really fun! I remembered in the last challenge to make a second card, so I have one for myself and one to send to the winner!

Glad to see we can use photo paper to try the techniques out.

wysegirl 01-18-2009 07:37 PM

Add me for this one. Thanks.

Unfortunetly our group is full! I'm sorry!

aprillower 01-19-2009 08:34 AM

I actually picked using the glossy paper (or photo paper if you don't have glossy) because I was just looking at my stack of glossy paper the other day realizing I had not used it in forever. So I thought it would be fun to get it out and do something with it.

prvrbs31gal 01-21-2009 06:01 AM

Ok, I'm in. Michael's got rid of their normal glossy stuff but I found some glimmery-shimmery glossy that will work.

aprillower 01-21-2009 11:49 AM

I think I've got everyone added!

Karen B Barber 01-22-2009 01:52 AM

I thought I would join this and thought WLG meant something like must be from your existing stash or something since I had never heard of it, then I read on to see it's an existing group, and now I'm trying to delete my sign up and not having any luck, only in editing - so count me out. ;( I am not a member of the WLG - but ladies - what a fun challenge!!

LaLatty 01-22-2009 02:41 PM

Hi April and everyone else :) This sounds like a great challenge, but I'd better skip this one for now. I'll be sure to watch for your next one though!

aprillower 01-24-2009 05:21 AM

I'm going to be closing this tomorrow (Sunday 25th) and you can start posting your cards in your gallery as soon as Thursday (29th)!
I hope your all having fun playing with your glossy paper!

aprillower 01-26-2009 05:32 AM

How are we doing ladies? Wanted to check in with everyone and remind you all that you can start posting your cards on Thursday!!!

mnewby 01-26-2009 05:35 AM

cspangler 01-26-2009 05:51 AM

cspangler 01-29-2009 05:15 AM

mnewby 01-30-2009 04:52 AM

Wow you guys are doing an amazing job. I am planning to do mine tonight. I'm sure I'll get odd looks from DH with the technique I plan to use. :)

aprillower 01-30-2009 06:13 AM

These are turning out really great! I'm being bad and waiting till the last minute to put mine together. I'm wanting to do the soot but can't find a stamp I think will look good with it! I'll figure something out!

simplechef 01-30-2009 08:12 AM

Yikes... I have to get this done today! Better find my glossy paper....
