When Lydia contacted me about being a Dirty Girl, the true meaning of max heart rate became a reality. I was totally caught off guard since the thought never occurred to me and I was thrilled to be asked to join such a talented group!

I have always lived here in northeastern Ohio. I graduated from Cleveland State University 44 years ago and on the same day married my soul mate and best friend, John. We have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. I entered the work force and worked in accounting, filed corporate taxes and wrote databases. Adventure was something I craved. For years I white water rafted, skydived, parasailed, water-skied, rock climbed and cycled. Of all the crazy adventures, cycling was my passion. I received a leave from work, loaded up my bicycle after rebuilding it and rode from Astoria, Washington to Bar Harbor Maine with 3 team mates. What a fantastic way to see this beautiful country but more importantly to see how wonderful people really are. It's the only time in my life I ate 5 cheeseburgers a day and lost 27 pounds.

Sewing was my hobby since I was 12 years old until a friend introduced me to stamping 7 years ago. I haven't stopped stamping since. Discovering Splitcoaststampers introduced me to new techniques and styles making this hobby so much more fun. I've also met new friends and found that the encouragement from this community is incredible.

Today my current hobbies besides stamping are wool dyeing, rug making, wine making and fishing.
It's an honor and a privilege to be here starting a new, creative adventure.
