Debby Hughes - limedoodle
Scotland
Oh my, I can’t believe I’m here! The Dirty Dozen – seriously?! But, yep that’s me up there - Debby Hughes (known as “limedoodle” in the gallery). I couldn’t believe it when Lydia asked me to jump in to the dirt! Shocked and gobsmacked spring to mind and absolutely, crazily delighted too!

I was born and brought up in England before meeting my Welsh husband and we now live in Scotland, so we have Great Britain pretty much covered! We have 3 wonderful children, one in High School and two in Primary School, who keep me on my toes but of course I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’ve always been making something my whole life; from childhood adventures into making my own clothes and knitting for the arrivals of my nephew and nieces to my current papercraft obsession. Which is strange as I’m science based by training! However, every opportunity that presented itself I’ve always been busy creating. My crafty pursuits became a more prominent part of my life after my children were born and I became a stay at home Mum. I found that creating was a great antidote to running around after little ones during the day. As I became more involved in my hobby I vowed to never buy another card again. Eventually, a little over a year ago I took the plunge and started my own blog, limedoodle. I had started to take photos of the cards I made for my own records so the leap to blogging just seemed to make sense. I was apprehensive, wondering if anyone other than me would visit, but from the outset the crafty community was wonderful and popped by to give encouragement. My blog life has expanded to the point that I’m now involved with a couple of design teams and challenge blogs.

I was amazed and I must admit a little daunted when I first found SCS. A huge community dedicated to stamping – wow! However, I quickly found my feet and discovered a wonderful resource full of ideas, friendship and like-minded folk. I am so thrilled to be one of Dirty Dozen and want to thank SCS for giving me this amazing opportunity.
