Do you think we can ink the black and white ones?

Cool technique. Tx Margot

When I made a black and white one the white layer seemed nonporous, so I added color with archival inks which are permanent and it worked just fine. It's a fun technique!

You said 2 brands are good, but I missed when you said those brands!

This is so pretty but frustrating that a special paper is needed. I would love it if someone teaches us how to make paper like that! I've tried the inking the embossing folder with mediocre results.

It's possible to make a DIY version of this style of paper by colouring white card with wax crayons (gelatos also work) and painting over it with black acrylic paint) (some people add a couple of drops of dish soap to the paint. Allow to dry totally before using . I've used this both for scratch art (check out Dina's MIX176 challenge in the challenge forums) and for embossing and sanding, with variable results for embossing...
A baby wipe will work well to remove the black from raised embossing rather than sanding, if you use a light hand - check out TLC844 in the Technique Lovers Challenges.
