Sponged Clouds

by Beate Johns

Sponge a sky with cloud stencils.

  • Die-namics™ cloud die

  • Mask Sheets

  • Blue Dye ink Tumbled Glass Distress ink used here

  • Blending Tool

  • Cardstock

  1. Step 1

Cut Clouds out of your Mask Sheet.

  2. Step 3

Peel of the mask backing and adhere your cloud stencils over your cardstock.

  3. Step 4

Start sponging ink over your cardstock.

  4. Continue to sponge over your entire piece of cardstock.

  5. Step 5

    Carefully peel off the masks.

  6. Step 6

Add layers to your cardstock to finish your project.

  1. Alternative Mask products
You can use Eclipse tape or even just copy paper to cut your masks. If you are using copy paper or other non stick supplies, use repositionable tape on the back of your mask.

    Free hand clouds
If you don't have a cloud stencil cut clouds with scissors.

    Cloud coverage
Adhere several cloud stencils next to each other for a different look. Paper cloud masks will work better for this variation.

Love the cards. How did you make the tree trunk?

Hi Dorothy,
I stamped the image on patterned paper, cut it out and adhered it to the card.
