Pop Out Card

by KellyJean Gettelfinger

Make a fun card with an inside-outside feature.

Supplies

  • Cardstock for base (Stampin’ Up!® Heavy Whisper White used here)
  • Decorative paper (SU Natural Designer Series Paper used here)
  • Shaped dies (the focal shape should be symmetrical and slightly larger than the other - SU hearts and circles (retired) used here)
  • Die cutting machine
  • Adhesive (SU Fast Fuse used here)
  • Other supplies as needed to complete the project (SU supplies used here: Epoxy Shapes, Petal Palette stamp set, Berry Burst, Lemon Limeade, Dapper Denim inks)

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

Prepare a card base. Die cut a shaped opening from the front panel of the card.

  2. Step 2

Accordion fold decorative paper in thirds and die cut three of the larger shapes all at once.

  3. Step 3

Fold two of the shapes in half.

  4. Step 4

Adhere each of the folded hearts to the BACK of the unfolded heart.

Add adhesive to the backs of the folded hearts.

  5. Step 5

Fold the card. Slip the edges of the folded shapes through the opening in the card front. Adhere them to the inside of the card so that the unfolded shape remains outside the opening.

  6. Step 6

    Stamp card and finish decorating.

  7. Complete the project.
