Step-by-Step

1. Step 1

   Place a Grip Mat or mirror image stamp in the MISTI, and mark a horizon line with 1" Post-It® tape.

   

2. Step 2

   Position the stamp so that you are masking off part of the bottom of the image to create a straight line between the two images.

   

3. Step 3

   Ink up the stamp and stamp it directly onto the masked Grip Mat. You may want to reink and stamp a few times. This will be the reflected image.

   

4. Step 4

   Remove the masking tape from the grip mat, and place your cardstock carefully on the image on the mat to pick up the image.

   

5. Step 5

   Put the cardstock into the MISTI, and mask off the reflected image at the straight line with a piece of Post-It® tape.

   

6. Step 6

   Place the stamp onto the masked reflection, lining up the edges with the masked image. The reflected image is mirrored from being stamped on the Grip Mat, so these will line up perfectly.

   

7. Step 7

   Stamp the image using the same color of ink you used for the reflection.
   

   

8. Step 8

   Stamp the image on masking paper and cut it out. Mask the top image (not the reflection), leaving the Post-It® tape in place.

   

9. Step 9

   Ink blend a sky around the top image with blending brushes.

   

10. Step 10

    When you are done ink blending, remove the tape and the mask.

    

11. Step 11

    Use Post-It® tape to mask the top image at the reflection line.

    

12. Step 12

    Ink blend the same colors all over the reflection half of the image - keeping it at the lightest over the center of the stamped image.

    

13. Step 13

    Color the image with grey colored pencils, keeping the coloring on the reflected half of the image about half as light as the top half.

    

14. Step 14

    Finish the card.
