- Animal Figurines
- Heart Dies
- Twine
- Hole punch
- Double-sided adhesive sheets
- Colored paper or similar
Step-by-Step
-
Step 1
Using heart shaped dies, cut out three hearts - one from colored or patterned paper or gel prints, one from a double sided adhesive sheet, and one from either white paper or cardstock or additional colored paper. You will need this trio for every valentine you make.
-
Step 2
Apply the adhesive heart to the colored heart, burnishing well. Then remove liner and add either the white or colored heart to the back of the first heart.
-
Step 3
Using a hole punch, punch a hole where you want your animal figurine to be centered, checking that you leave enough room for the sentiment. Some animals will be more stable if you use two holes.
-
Step 4
Secure your animal to the valentine, using a loop of twine, with the cut ends of the twine coming out the back of the heart. Depending on the shape of the animal, you may need multiple loops to secure it in the right position.
-
Step 5
Tie the twine on the back to secure the animal.
-
Step 6
Finish the valentines with a punny printed sentiment to match the animal.
