Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Kim asked: "I just discovered Perfect Pearls™, and Pearl-Ex powders. My question is do they have to be heat set with a heat tool? I looked on YouTube, but there doesn't seem to be too much info on them."
A: No, they don't have to be set with a heat tool. Pearl Ex powders will need a sealer to prevent them from smearing. Perfect Pearls don't need to be sealed.

Check out our tutorial page and type in Perfect Pearls or Pearl Ex into the search engine there. You will find quite a few tutorials there.
Feedback From Past Tutorials
Leah has a suggestion for the Tile Coaster tuotrial: "I did these for a craft class, and we used Johnson's paste wax to seal the coasters. It worked great. The key is to put only a very thin coat of wax the first time, and let it dry thoroughly; also the staz-on must be completely dry before applying the wax. Do not rub the wax on gruffly, just apply it with a light touch. After drying, just buff lightly with a soft cloth. we put a second coat on and it went on without a hitch. They turned out beautifully!"
