Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Linda C. asked: "How is blocked collage done? I've seen some cards with that technique, but the technique is not explained."
A: This great technique was a technique challenge last November. It's a form of reverse masking. Check here for our tutorial. We have some beautiful blocked collage samples in the gallery.

    Feedback From Past Tutorials
Karen Tuck has a tip for using Letter Patterns for the kissing technique: "I have experimented quite a bit with these and found that if you ink LIGHTLY with craft ink onto the background and then press GENTLY with the alphabet stanp it works pretty good. The secret is not getting ink into the 'groves' that make the pattern either by too much ink from the inkpad or by pressing too hard with the letter and squishing ink down into the grooves that way. If you do it 'just right' it is a very cool effect."
