5" x7" Card Creator dies from Spellbinders allow you to focus on beautiful card making, not on measuring or fussy cutting.
Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Sue asked: "When using matching die and stamp sets, what are some techniques for getting proper alignment of the stamp and diecut? What do you do first, stamp or cut?"
A: It depends on if the stamps are clear or rubber stamps. If they are clear stamps, I cut the die cut first, then line up the stamp over the die cut.

If the stamps are rubber stamps, a lot of matching dies have a guide you can use. I then stamp the image first, use the guide to create markings, then line up the die over the markings and cut. If you don't have a template and the stamps are made out of rubber, I would use a Stamp-a-majig to line up the image.

Cut the cardstock with the die, then line up the image with the Stamp-a-ma-jig™. Here is a tutorial for the Stamp-a-ma-jig

Maxine has a suggestion for the Crochet Heart tutorial: "To give a little more 'point' to the heart, make 4 dc, 1 treble crochet, 4 dc. This gives a wee bit more shape to the heart."
