Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: maslex wants to know: "What are your favorite ink pads?"
A: Fun question! There are so many kinds of inks and pads - my everyday go-to set are the hybrid inks from Impression Obsession (manufactured by Stewart Superior, branded by several other companies as well). These inks are permanent with water media, alcohol ink, and other solvents used for colored pencil blending. They dry quickly, and work on a wide variety of papers and other surfaces. Versafine is another favorite for a crisp outline image or sentiment (I haven't tried the Clair pads yet - I hear they are great too!). I use Versamark ink for embossing. For dye inks, I love the ColorBox Premium Dye series - the foam pads are really juicy and the inks are so vibrant. (I played with them in a watercoloring tutorial HERE.)

Shell has plans for the Treat Box tutorial: "These are great gift ideas for the season. I'm making them to sell in a shop with hot cocoa in them, and s'mores kits for summer! Thanks for the awesome idea!"
