Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Kathi wants to know: "Can you use acrylic paint on clear stamps for a paint resist technique?"
A: You can! I like to squeeze a little paint onto my gel plate and brayer it into a thin layer - you can use the brayer to apply the paint to your stamp, or just use the gel plate like an ink pad to lift paint up (and you can get a bonus 'print' with the remaining paint too!). Acrylic paint is water based, so it will rinse off your stamps with warm water while it's still fresh. A toothbrush is great for getting paint out of little grooves.

    Feedback From Past Tutorials
Tina has a tip for making Dimensional Flowers: "I made a zillion of these for my daughter's bridal shower--didn't have grunge paper, but cut flowers from regular cardstock and then brushed with Mod Podge. Let them dry to the touch but NOT dry completely--you get stronger, more flexible paper while you are shaping the flowers, and when they are completely dry, the finished product is super strong and hard."
