Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Leila asks: "Many years ago I bought Archival Mist to spray on newspapers to preserve. I have not been able to find any of this product recently. Is there a newer, better product to use?"
A: For newspapers, most archivists recommend making color copies on archival paper. It looks like Krylon has a variety of products that could work on original clippings - one is called Preserve It and is specifically for paper... they also have a UV Archival Varnish that would also protect against yellowing. Bookbinding sites might have some resources as well.
