Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Linda asked: "Just wondering how people are attaching those very decorative laces to their cards? Thanks for your help!"
A: I don't know how everyone else is doing it but I can tell you how I attach mine. I usually add tape to the ends of the lace and adhere it to the back of my cardstock layer. That way once I adhere it to my card base the ends won't show and won't fray. Lots of times I add a sewn border at the edge of my cardstock as a decorative border. That helps keep the lace in place as well.
    Feedback From Past Tutorials
Katie has a suggestion for the Embedded image tutorial: "I played with this technique two times today with varying results. My first piece just melted and spread into a variegated mess. Although I ended up kinda liking that too, but it sure didn't show the image! I learned that I needed to keep the heat gun a good distance away from the piece when you are melting the image into the piece. Add heat slowly!

When you're done, really look at it to make sure it's all melted. If you need to heat more, go ahead.

There was still some spreading of the colored embossing powder, but as long as I went slowly with the heat, the image stayed pretty well intact."
