Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: sdemaria asked: "Could you explain the technique using wheels and inks (I think one of them is white ink) to make it look like it's embossed? Thanks."
A: Pam Morgan showed this technique at the Stampin' Up! convention in 2005. Ink your wheel with a colored ink. Find the seam on the wheel, and align with the edge of the paper. Roll it over your cardstock. Clean your wheel, then ink with white ink. Find the seam again, place the wheel slightly higher or lower the spot where you started last, making sure to start rolling at the edge of the paper. Now carefully roll over your wheeled image. You will create a shadowed image that looks like it's dry embossed. Check the gallery, geojlc has a great sample of faux dry embossing.
