Pasty Razzle Dazzle
Finally, another use for all of those brass stencils you just had to have when you first started stamping! This technique by new author (and Dirty Dozen Alumni) Linda Bullard shows how to use clear embossing paste and glitter instead of a stylus to add lovely dimension to any project.

Beate Johns answers your technique questions
Q: Christina asked: "I'm having a hard time with embossing. The powder seems to stay on the paper, not just on the image. I use the Embossing Buddy, but not only does it not work for me, it discolors the rest of my paper as well."
A: First check your Embossing Buddy. Drop it on a scrap piece of cardstock and see if powder still comes out. If so, rub your cardstock with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp your image and add embossing powder, then tap off excess. Now before embossing, tap the back of your cardstock a few times to remove any stray powder. Look over your cardstock. If you see more embossing powder speckles, use a small paintbrush to brush away the excess powder. Now emboss. If you have streaks on your cardstock after using the Embossing Buddy, use tissue paper or a Swiffer® cloth to remove them after the embossed image has cooled.

Scoopy has a hint for our Paper Bow tutorial: "I was experimenting and found that you can actually use just one larger brad (like from the office supply store) and put it all the way through all the layers - instead of a brad for each tier. Worked great!"
