Paper Piecing
If you enjoyed paper dolls as a child, try paper piecing. It's an easy way to add a little extra something to stamped focal images, and a great way to use those scraps of patterned paper.

Check the forums any day, and you'll see that many stampers are looking for a way to keep their unmounted rubber and/or clear stamps organized. Little Monkeys has a solution that is easily used, extremely accessible, and expandable, too.

Beate Johns answers your technique questions
Q: eyestitch asked: "I have seen mention of something that I think is called metallic paste. It had a cool look used on Cuttlebug® embossings. Can you tell me what this is and how it is used?"
A: Is this a sample of the technique and product you were looking for?
If so, the product you are looking for is called Metallic Rub-on Paste. You rub the paste over your dry embossed image or cardstock edge to achieve a metallic shimmer. I usually use my finger for that.
Try rubbing the paste over clear embossed images on dark cardstock like a really old sample of mine shows for a different look.
You can buy them in local hobby andscrapbook stores as well as online stores. I know Gina K carries them.

Chrysi has an idea for an alternate look of the Dahlia fold technique: "An oval punch may be used instead of a circle. However, it takes 10 ovals to make a complete flower when ovals are folded lengthwise on the vertical axis. The flower comes out very pretty and has a soft appearance. an example may be found on the following page in my gallery."
