Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
Last evening poor little Markie was really ill. His temperature spiked and the poor little guy cried himself to sleep on my bed. All of the cats stood vigil in the hallway. Except, of course, for Speedy the Cat. He lay right beside Markie and let him cuddle the ENTIRE night!
So, my creative ideas are all my own this morning...
I decided to go "Holidays in July" and used Joy, the Jolly Flourished Reindeer! (Since my parents only had 2 girls, we constantly tease our brother, Frank, and call him Joy! So, of course, this will be HIS Christmas Card this year! LOL)
The image was stamped onto white card stock and colored with markers. While it was still wet, I "painted" the image with the Polished pigments, Copper.
I used a sanding block to remove color from the piece of Basic Grey paper. I stamped the image in Noir Black Palette Hybrid ink. I layered the first image onto the other with foam tape.
I added the rhinestones to the antlers and collar.
The background was stamped in VersaMark and embossed in copper.

This is just stunning. I love all the bling - the antlers and collar. The colors are so rich looking. Great job, Faith, as always. Hope Markie is feeling better.

I have always liked that reindeer with the flourish antlers! I don't own it, but I love seeing how people use it. Love your colors and coloring! You must have an endless supply of polka dotted ribbon!!! Fantastic card!!!
