Well I have had so much company that I have not been able to play in quite a while so it felt good to play this morning! I've had eight here but now it's just my dd and her two kids. This morning I managed to engage them and we all worked together.
This is my submission for LSC177. The photo is with the card closed, but the sign opens by unfloding down and each section has part of the sentiment, which reads... Star Light....Star Bright... Please Don't Let Me.... Melt Tonight!
The idea is loosely based on a card sample I saw at a nearby SS. I still need to figure a better way to keep the sign closed. Thinking of velcro or magnet. Any ideas? I'd love to hear! I paper pieced the scarf. The sign is run through the CB with the distressed stripes and then colored with markers to look like wood, and hung over his arms with twine. The BG is embossed with Zip embossing pen with white and again with irredescent ice for snow falling. The image is colored with a combination of Prisma Pencils, blended with Gamsol, and also some watercoloring with SU Ink. There is a snowflake brad and a Star Brad which I embossed in Gold. it was hurried and not perfect, but I have to tell ya... it felt good to make a card! It feels like ages since I've had time to do anything like this!
Thanks so much for looking! Have a great day!
