I made this card for the Limited Supplies Challenge, no more than 3 layers, Limited embellishments, no DP, and a Summer Theme. What's better for summer than a huge slice of Watermelon?! We are going to make these cards tomorrow as a craft at the nursing home where I work.
The card base was made by using the largest oval on the colluzzle and folding it long ways. The rind was made from Gable Green by using the largest and 3rd to largest rings. I then daubered on Green Galore and then Garden Green to shade the rind.
The seeds were made with the older SU Daisy Punch and cutting the petals to a point in the center of the daisy. The pooch is from Penny Black's Critter Party. He is stamped on Creamy Carmel (no DP) and slipped up into the "bite" made with the scallop punch. I snipped off both ends of the rose he normally holds in his mouth.
The only embellishment I used was the crystal effects on the seeds, not sure I should have done that. HAD to add the dots on the edge of the rind.
Pretty simple really. TFL!

Oh my goodness! I uploaded my card last night and came home from work today to all these wonderful comments. The residents at the Nursing Home loved these cards and enjoyed putting them together. I was up until 3am cutting, punching and daubering. They did all the gluing and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for your comments, they are much appreciated!

This is just too adorable. I love it. The dog is just the cutest thing. Love the bites you cut out of the watermelon. The seeds really stand out. This goes into my faves.
