This is my second shot at TLC175. The challenge was to use pastels on our background as well as our image. For my first submission I just saw the background part and did not use pastels for my images, hence, I was terribly illegal! This time... ALL I've used is chalk!
I tried a Zindorf-like (nowhere near!) background. I used a stick-it to mask off my sun and then just rubbed various colors of chalks on my VV CS with a Kleenex. Then I stamped with VersaMark and again chalked the images. I felt it needed something so I used my Fiskars finger blade to hand cut a rectangle frame to more or less "highlight" the focal point... then I used my adhesive remover to "erase" some color from all the images outside the frame. I really like how it came out... has a very ethereal feel to it.
Thanks for looking and forgiving my first boo-boo!

Wow wow and wow. Boy am I glad you made a booboo on the first card. This looks wonderful. I love how the outside is soft and the inside of the square is more vibrant. The birds in the upper corner are wonderful. This is a true work of heart. Great job....

Awesome card....haven't seen the 1st one yet but this is so soothing to the eye! Love it....hope to get one made later today. I've never done this technique so don't know what I'm in for, but I got some new stamps in the mail today from CHF and can't wait to try them. tfs
