Our ways to use it today was to use some chipboard.
When I stamp I always have a person in mind to send my card to. This card is going over to Iraq to a friend of my daughters. He was sent there in March. It has really made me think about all you folks out there that have loved ones that are defending our country. This Memorial Day (and every day) I hope you will all keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
This is a simple card but with so much meaning.
This is a poem I found from a stamp online:
Standing right beside us
we forget that you are there
when trouble comes to find us
we turn to you with prayer
Without a hesitation
you step into the fight
standing right before us
to protect us day and night.
You leave your home and family
knowing where you are bound
with courage, strength and valor
you stand a piece of ground
Security, peace and freedom
are the gifts that you supply
the soldiers of America
on you we can rely.
Thanks for a great challenge and come on out and play with us.

Gorgeous card and so wonderfully patriotic! Love your torn technique. How wonderful to create a card like this and for one very special person - one of so many!
