Hi! This card was made for today's Ways To Use It Challenge: Snip Snip....We were to use scissors in ways that we usually do not...
Well, since Gretta Gator was going on vacation this week, to visit friends in Gainesville, FL, I decided she needed a Gator Going Away card!
I used scissors to cut the template for the skyline, twine, Gretta's body and head (I removed her party hat!), and several layers of grass...I used the tip of the scissors to BLEND the marker into the cuts! (I colored the blades of the scissors with the marker so that when I cut the BLADES of grass, the cuts would be colored, too!) Blades...heehee
However, the BIG NEW USE of scissors was: I used the tips of the scissors to "drill" holes for the Hodge Podge Hardware brads...YIKES! I know, it was dangerous, but I RARELY use SOOOO many layers that need to be punched at one time...I need to purchase the Long Reach CROP-A-DILE! (I'm rolling on the floor here, I crack myself up!)
Gretta the Gator was stamped twice in Basic Black on Whisper White. I colored her with SU! markers and layered the head...
The background was made by sponging in the sun and then using a cut out template of half circles to make the clouds.
The backgrounds are all Cuttle Bugged with embossing folders and the layered and sponged color on color.
The dots were made with a marker and Signo Pen.
The sentiment is computer generated.
Gretta the Gator and other stamp sets will be released tomorrow by H&M Stamps!

Well, aren't you clever to color the blades of your scissors before cutting the grass. You did an awesome job cutting that grass too. I love your colors and all those layers. It would take me forever to make all the dots. TFS

Toooooo cute Faith!!!!! Great ways to use your scissors. Had never considered "coloring" the tips to get colour onto the cardstock when cutting it!!!!! You learn something new every day!!

Love the way you've placed your layers and the colors you used.
