I've had the umbrella idea in my head to use with the dahlia fold for a while... can't remember if I saw it, or if it was original. So today I was getting out my polka dot umbrella, 'cuz it's raining... and I knew I just had to make this card! It fit perfectly with the mixed-up paper challenge too. =)
I drew the handle part of the umbrella, then mounted the two dahlia pieces on a small circle and then added the handle. The dots and daisies were stamped in versamark and embossed in clear, then watercolored and sponged in pretty in pink. The whole caribbean panel is on dimensionals.
This is for a friend's bridal shower... seems like *almost* everyone I know is getting married this year! So I'm sure I will get to do more variations on this theme. =)

Great idea, this is adorable!

Love it - I wish I had the creativity to think outside the box. I was totally into doing what everyone else is doing and your creativity shows the fold can be used for so much more. Now I just have to think, think think . . .
