Thanks Roxie for the Wednesday challenge. I knew I would make the wardrobe the focal point of my card...though it reminds me I haven't enough closets for all the clothes I love! Does anyone else have clothes from more than two decades you can't bear to part with?
This card is built with Basic Grey Stella Ruby papers. I adore the dressmaker details throughout. I paper pieced those fashionable ladies, stamping in Versacolor black and embossing in clear. They are from the SU set Pattern of Friendship as is the Always in Style sentiment. The wonderful wardrobe is part of Fashion Statements from several years back, it is stamped and embossed in Tim Holtz distress walnut stain and popped on foam! The fancy swirley thingy is Stampendous from back in the 90's! The Stella Ruby paper provided a cool marbled look for that element. The faux stitching is Starving Artistamps. It was inked in seafoam by Heritage Marvy.
My card is dedicated to my mother, who must always match her pocketbook (a very Southern term) with her shoes as she heads out the door! You truly are Always in Style...Thanks for looking

Hah!! I love Darlene's comment ( akronstamper 's ) observation that perhaps she is giving away her age by asking if they are a Simplicity or McCormacks pattern!! LOL ! I can't sew a button on a shirt, but I sure remember those pattern covers.. I so wish I'd purchased this set when it was around!! It's such a retro riot - and great for paper piecing!! And great job with your 1990's flourish stamp. See, what's new is old.. so just hang onto your clothes and they'll soon be back in style!!!

Wow! What a meticulous job you've done with that paper piecing! I love the Stella Ruby papers too, and the Vintage look you've created with them is wonderful! Fabulous job on this challenge, Susan! TFS!
