This is Fred and Chloe (designed by Carolyn King, distributed by Gina K designs). Fred is a Santa Wannabe, but Chloe, although small in stature, is always in charge. Therefore, she's the Santa and she told Fred that he has to be the elf. Well, he hasn't quite earned full-fledged elf status yet, and that's why he doesn't have his elf ears or hat. He only has his shirt, shorts, and elf stockings and shoes. If Fred can prove himself to be a good dog, he'll earn those eventually.
Besides the story, there is a lesson here. Never, and I mean never, play with a new idea when a friend (Cammie in this case) sends you a stamped image to play with. If you make a mistake, you can't restamp the image! Well, I don't know what possessed me to try and INTENTIONALLY put my eyelets on crooked for a different look, but it looks stupid. So, yes, I realize my eyelets are crooked, but I can't change 'em! Lesson learned!
The sentiment was computer generated, and I tried to make it look like a sentiment balloon.

Very cute card, Charlene. The dog looks like he is ready to eat that bird if that is what it takes for him to be the Santa so he can get out of the elf's suit.

but the eyelets are sweet and add to the comic humor of the dog in the outfit that's too small! He looks like my DD who wore a dress to church that was too small for her - the jacket sleeves were at least as short as the dog's sleeves. Really this is cute!!
