This is for today's color challenge -- Groovy Guava and Always Artichoke. Wonderful combination -- and thanks much for that gorgeous sample, Charlene!!!
And the stamp set I used, or should I say SETS, will be a surprise!!!! I used two of the new and soon to be released sets by Flourishes. Keep your eyes open for these fun new sets. You can check out Flourishes at www.flourishes.org.
This was like a double challenge for me today. I knew what stamp set I wanted to work with today, and I was hoping the challenge colors would suit what I had in mind -- well, let me tell you, Groovy Guava, was NOT what I had in mind for this card -- LOL!!! But I think I made it work, so that makes me feel doubly good!!!!
One thing, the brown textured paper under the Peace panel is tree wrap, like for the base of little trees, found at hardware stores -- a huge roll for like $2 or so. It is 3" wide.
This card is large -- 5 1/2 x 7 1/2.

Beautiful card, Sharon! Yes, I'd say you made it work! Love the great Peace stamp and texture with the tree wrap panel! It amazes me how people find these wonderful things, not even remotely related to card making!

I love the way you made the colors work-very pretty for a wintry/Christmas card. I tend to like the non-traditional colors for winter cards. tfs your talents!

It's stunning! I'm looking forward to the new release! The Peace panel is so dramatic - I love the distressing (I know! NO WAY!! Never woulda guessed that!) and the hardware. The guava looks like a lovely winter glow from a sunrise or a welcoming cabin in the woods...

Oh man Sharon. Just what I needed was to look at more new stamps? Your card is so wonderful that I am abandoning my commenting session and running right for the link you listed. Love, love, love your card!
