talk about perfect timing! i decided a few days ago to finally sit down and start playing with my prismacolor pencils (that i've had for at least a year) using the gamsol technique, and colored this cat. i have a long way to go yet, but i was relatively pleased for a first attempt. then i saw today's ways to use it challenge was to use pencils, so i used my practice kitty and this week's sketch challenge to make a card. the striped part is actually stamped using a stripe stamp by hero arts. the ribbon bow is tied through a pale purple button.
the inside of the card reads...that's cat talk for 'hope your day is wonderful!'
thanks for looking!

Okay, I'm back looking at this awesome card again, and read Cammie's post. Just wanted to let you know that I'm okay now and don't need that paper bag, but I've moved onto drooling. I promise not to slobber on the screen. :-) Thanks for indicating where you got all the supplies because I just gotta have that purple embossed paper. It is so rich and regal looking.

Deb, This is just really cool! I love purple, for one thing, and I can't figure out why more cards aren't purple (including my own lol). And the cat is adorable! LOVE the background paper the best -- the design is awesome!! Way cool card!
