This time I did a rather literal interpretation. I started with a 3 3/4" of glossy, and created the background with Cranberry Crisp, Morning Marigold and Old Olive using the Fossil Technique. Then I sponged some Cool Caribbean, and Morning Marigold to even out the colouring, and add that blue tone. Then I stamped randomly with Garden Silhoettes, and cut it into 1 1/4" squares. I layered the decorated squared onto black 1 1/4" squares to achieve the shadowed look. Lastly, I added black grosgrain ribbon and a red flower and layered a smaller green one. The little decoration in the flower center is a brad decorator that I've had forever..the black brad is just a normal black brad.
I quite like how it turned out, although my cutting wasn't very straight as I noticed when I tried to piece it onto the squares. TFL.
