My friend Coleen loves her bubble baths, and I've been waiting for months to make her birthday card with this "Time for the Bubbly" set from My Favorite Things: http://www.mftstamps.com These are some of her favorite colors too. I used the color wheel for Certainly Celery.
The mirror surface is vellum to make it look a little steamy. Jeanne S used the "relax" on the mirror as writing with red lipstick, but I guess mine has to be writing in the steam! This image is great fun to watercolor. Shading on the bathtub is done with a pale gray Tombow marker I purchased from SweetMissDaisy: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tombow-Gray-Mark...QQcmdZViewItem Thanks Anna!
It doesn't show up well in the photo, but the bubbles were colored with the Almost Amethyst marker and then colored again with the Sakura Stardust pen, followed by the clear Glaze pen. The clear Glaze pen was also used on the champagne glass.
I used the omitting technique with markers and the stampa-ma-jig to have the sentiments on one line.
Those aren't gem brads on the right - I had to make my own. They are black eyelets and I used Crystal Effects to glue some hot pink gems in the center.
The finished card measures 5 x 6 1/4 inches.

Wow! What a pretty colorful card! As always your details are perfect! Love the black bow, it's really set off nice by the bright colors and the black boarders.

Oh, Linda! These colors are so pretty together! Very colorful without being too bright. Just so appealing! Love the patterned papers and the colorblock design as well as your improvised bling brads. This set sure came in handy for Coleen's birthday card!

Okay Linda, so here I am looking around your gallery so I can show Diane S. your three pumpkin Holloween Card and I see this. When you gave me this card, I was so amazed and awed that you probably thought I didn't appreciate it. I did really! Your work always awes me into silence! It's absolutely spectacular. I wish my legs looked that nice hanging out of the tub. LOL
Thanks again for such an as always awsome card.
