OK - obviously not a SU stamp! My sister is studying abroad in Sweden this year, and knowing my addiction, she sent the stamp to me for Christmas. It's supposed to be a Dahle (sp?) horse, which are small, handpainted, wooden horses. The colors were inspired by the Swedish flag.

I LOVE IT!! Tack sa mycket (thanks) for posting! ( I don't have the right Swedish letters either ) The spelling is actually "Dala" horse. The horses are made in a province called Darlana, right in the middle of Sweden.
Hey girlygirl, ar du svensk osksa? How fun to find some swedes on this site. I lived in Sweden for many years too. My mother was born there.

From a long line of Swedes - awesome! Love the Dala horses, I want this stamp!
------------------------------ Heidi My gallery There's no 'I' in 'team'. But then there's no 'I' in 'useless smug colleague', either. And there's four in 'platitude-quoting idiot'. Go figure.

Wow! I'm flattered by so many compliments! My great-grandparents were from Sweden. My grandfather (the Swede) has 4 siblings, 3 of whom have visited Sweden a couple of times. I don't speak Swedish, but obviously my sister (the one abroad) does, and my little brother is following in her footsteps.
