This is for today's limited supply challenge--to make a retirement card...ANY kind of retirement.
Since I had to make a birthday card and a sympathy card today--I went with birthday for this one---Retiring one year--starting another!!!
I was bound and determined to make a better way to do the image suspension i did for my card yesterday. So instead of using beads, I used hemp and then threaded the small daisy charm through. I like the way this turned out--will have to do it again..it was definitely much easier than dealing with seed beads!!!
The image is suspended by the braided hemp, which is secured under the dp. The dp is raised on dimensionals so the braided hemp can rest easily under it. The panel is the circle scallop and the hemp goes between this and the main image circle. I used My Favorite Things - You Take the Cake for the image and sentiment...love it! I added a bit of clear glitter after I colored the image with SU markers. (www.mftstamps.com)
The sentiment is stamped and then I tied a piece of hemp to the sides and raised it on dimensionals.
Hope you like it!

Awesome, again, Carolyn (though I'm not buying the whole birthday=retirement argument! Would you let your kids get away with that sort of explanation?!). I'm sitting here with my face about an inch from the screen trying to figure out that suspension technique, and despite your thorough description, I can't. I think you must be an engineer in addition to one fantastic stamper!!
Carolyn-- this is so beautiful! I'm so in love with it!! You are so creative and I love everything you make! Keep it coming! I enjoy seeing all that you make! I hope you are having a great Friday! Hugs! Ash~
