The inspiration pieces for today's challenge are some beautiful mosaic candles suggested by SmilynStef. I cut 3/8" strips of brilliant blue and natural ivory cardstock and adhered those to gold cardstock. I then took my versamark pen and ran it down the edge of those pieces and embossed with silver. The center panel is polished stone in brilliant blue, bashful blue and gable green. I used my versamark pen, again, to create a mosaic outline and silver embossed that. This is a masculine birthday card for my BIL, so I didn't want any frou-frou ribbon. Therefore, I took a piece of gold and silver cording and looped them under the round tab punch sentiment panel just for a little extra flair. The Happy Birthday is also silver embossed on the brilliant blue round tab punch piece with a circle piece of gold cardstock behind it. This is raised up on dimensionals.
This took me a while to make it, but I'm pleased with the results. Thanks for today's challenge, Karen and Stef!
