This is for today's technique challenge..mulberry batik. Since I didnt have mulberry paper, I used a coffee filter, crumpled it up and then started the process.
I stamped the Delight in life flower in vm on the filter..clear embossed it and then sponged carribean, lilac and barely bananna over it. Then I placed it between two scrap pages and ironed the filter. It had a really neat effect...cannot even get the full beauty of it in the picture.
The butterflies are black embossed on vellum and then I added some lilac to them as well.

Wow, you did good with that batik business! I love the butterflies...they look sorta shimmery and shiny like they've been in the rain...Its beautiful how the dark butterflies and your background contrast. Very cool!
