This is the gift box I made to hold my six Enchante Dragonfly sympathy cards and envelopes. I made an acetate window for the top to show the cards.
The box itself is a variation of the nugget box pattern - here's the link: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers Here are the measurements I used to make this 4 3/4 x 6 inch gift box:
Bottom: Perfect Plum cardstock cut to 7 5/8 x 8 7/8, scored at 1/2 inch all around and then at 1 inch all around. This creates a box that is 1 inch deep. It holds these six cards with minimal embellishments (brads) and six envelopes.
Top: Sahara Sand cardstock cut to 6 3/4 x 8 inches, scored all around at 1/2 inch and then at 1 inch all around. This creates a lid that is 1/2 inch deep.
From that point, just follow the directions in Resources, steps 2 through 4.
Before folding the top, I stamped it with the jumbo wheel and Pale Plum ink, cut out the window leaving a 1/2 inch border and edged it with the copper leafing pen. I then attached the acetate sheet (cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches) with 1/8 inch sticky strip all around the inside edges of the window.
I used my Big Kick with the Cuttlebug Vintage Die and Brushed Copper cardstock to make the decorative corners. They're coated with Versamark and heat embossed with copper EP to better match the copper leafing. My Xyron 150 worked great for adhering them into the corners of the window.

Oh my, so wonderful! Really love the idea of the acetate window and heat embossing those decorative corners. Into my favs. Hope I will able to do something similar!
To say this is outstanding just isn't good enough. It's all the things that the other ladies have said and more. What a lucky person this was to have recieved this. Hope she knows it.

In the summer in Florida when it gets really hot, the dragonflies come out in great numbers...always a sign of the extreme heat. This caught my eye today, since I was thinking about their gorgeous colors. You've colored this beautifully. Thanks for your inspiration!
