I made peeps in a jar.
I really liked Jami’s bunny peeps here: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I was able to find lavendar, blue, pink and yellow bunny peeps so I alternated the colors in that order inside my jars. I love the way Jami stamped solid bunnies on her card with the words stamped over the top. I wanted to do this too, but I didn’t have a solid bunny stamp. I decided I could create a bunny template just by punching two circles and cutting out 2 ears. I then sponged the bunny on the card in lavendar lace. I used a ret message stamp from SU!’s “Miracle of Spring” set. To create the lid I sponged summer sun, pixie pink and lavendar lace on white cardstock then stamped the message over top. This stamp is an old one 1997 from stampendous H090 “He is risen”. I purchased #156 hot pink Offray grosgrain ribbon from JMK Products for a perfect match to my pixie pink card stock. I tied the ribbon around the lid with a big bow and just hung the card from a ribbon loop. I wasn’t able to find wide mouth jars so I recycled some plastic trail mix jars I bought at my Safeway grocery store. The jars come filled with a mixture of nuts, raisins and m & m’s. These are bigger than the quart size so I filled the mid cavity behind the bunnies with 3 wrapped snickers Easter eggs. I also used an entire package of m & m’s in each jar for a perfect fit. I searched the forums for the recipe and info on these and complied a list of tips. See comments below:

PEEPS IN A JAR (Easter Bunny Smores)
For 3 jars youll need:
3, 1 qt. widemouth jars
2 1/3 bags m&ms (need 3 bags for 4-1 quart jars)
1 box graham crackers (1 sleeve for each)
24 peeps (8 for each jar)
1 cup brown sugar (1/3 c for each)
Yield: 9 to 12 bars
Ingredients
1-1 qt. wide mouthed jar [A wide mouthed jar is easier to work with, (about $8.00/dz. at Wal-Mart) but the narrow one will work using a knife and spoon to pat down the ingredients].
1 sleeve graham cracker crumbs
8 marshmallow peep bunnies
1-1/4 cups Easter M & M's
1/3 cup brown sugar
Reduce 1 sleeve graham crackers to crumbs using a rolling pin and a gallon ziplock bag. Layer of the crumbs in a 1 qt. jar. Place 8 marshmallow bunny peeps standing up, facing out around the inside of the jar pressing them against the glass, but dont squash them.
Carefully, spoon remaining crumbs in the center of the jar to support the bunnies, pressing down to keep it snug.
On top of this pour 1 c. Easter M&Ms.
Spoon 1/3 c. br. Sugar into center of M&Ms gently pressing with a spoon.
Decorate the lid of the jar -tie ribbons around the neck of the jar add a gift tag with baking instructions.
Directions: Enjoy eating some of the M&Ms to reduce the amount as desired. Empty the jar contents into a bowl. Snip the bunnies into bits with kitchen scissors or a knife. Return the bunny bits to the mixture and mix well. Melt c. plus 2 T butter, add 1-t. vanilla. Pour this over the dry ingredients, mixing well. Pat into a greased 8 or 9 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 for 15-25 minutes. Cool 1/2 hour then cut into bars. *Option 1- leave bunnies whole; combine remaining ingredients and place the bunnies on top; then bake as directed. *Option 2- omit the vanilla, bake and serve warm over vanilla ice cream or use blender to mix with ice cream like a Blizzard.
