When I was looking for my mileage notes from 2006, I had to scrounge for four sticky notes and the back of an envelope. I thought that if I made myself a cute little notebook, perhaps I would not have such a hard time keeping all of my notes in one place! For this 4" x 4" notebook, I used two layers of the thin chipboard coasters for both the front and the back, gluing the layers together. (Thick coasters wouldn't fit in my Rubicoil machine.) Next I cut four 4" x 4" pieces of Sage Shadow card stock, rounded the edges, punched, and stamped them in Chocolate Chip classic ink. I enhanced just a few spots with my white Signo Glo Gel pen and glued the card stock to the covers, both back and front inside and outside. I painted the stamped Doodle This flower on watercolor paper, cut out around it, and matted it in Pixie Pink. I added a flower center from Doodle That, then used my 1/8" Karen Foster informal snap stamps to stamp the word mileage onto Apricot Appeal card stock, which I cut out with my word window punch. I stacked the covers and inside pages, then ran my coil through and crimped it on each end. Finally, I embellished with stickles, a rhinestone, and a bit of ribbon tied on the top. It's pretty simple, but it beats my previous mileage system!
