I made this for scrapbratmother's quiche recipe swap. I tried my heat & stick powder for the first time to hold the sand - it works GREAT!! I also thought to have the crab (from SU's Spring mini) peeking out with google eyes. You know how those things like to hide!!

Oh, how clever and adorable-- all three that you've posted!! I'm curious to know, when you give these away (or keep them) what do you store these square shapes in? I love what you've done; I'd like to do something like this myself. Thank you for sharing such creative ideas!

They have 6 x 6 albums at the hobby stores (A.C. Moore, Michael's, whatever)....that's what I put all my swaps in when I get them back. I was in a Rachael Ray swap and made twenty (plus one for the hostess) of the same design, then I got back twenty different ones. An instant cookbook...great for a gift idea if you join a category perfect for someone you know! Check out the SWAPS forum...

Here's the recipe if you have trouble reading it in the picture...
(In this recipe, one can of crabmeat is actually sufficient....)
CRABMEAT-PARMESAN QUICHE
 (15 oz.) package refrigerated piecrusts
3 to 4 green onions, chopped
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 (6 oz.) cans lump crabmeat, rinsed and drained
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 cup half-and-half
3 large eggs
 teaspoon salt
 teaspoon black pepper
1 (5 oz.) package shredded Parmesan cheese
Unfold piecrust, and place on a lightly floured surface. Roll to 1/8-inch thickness. Carefully place piecrust in a 9-inch pie plate; fold edges under, and crimp.
Bake on lowest oven rack at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool.
Saute chopped green onions in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 2 minutes. Stir in crabmeat and next 3 ingredients; saut 2 minutes.
Whisk together half-and-half and next 3 ingredients in a large bowl; stir in cheese and crabmeat mixture. Pour into prepared crust.
Bake on lowest oven rack at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Let stand 15 minutes.
