I hope this fits with this challege because I did use an extra piece of ribbon that was not a scrap -- but I did pull out a small 2" piece of Wide SU Purple Organdy ribbon from my glass (where I keep all my scrap ribbon) because I was desparate to find something to use in this hat as I didn't have any fancy fiber to add a ribbon. So I put my thinking cap on and decided to cut my wide ribbon into tiny strips, then wrapped one end with scotch tap and put through hole to tape to back of my card. I frayed the tiny pieces with my nail and then heated with heat gun to curl. I thought it turned out really nice -- but had to cheat and go some more purple ribbon to go around the top. I also have to give 100% credit for this card to 88Keys because she sent me the stamped image in the mail months ago (she is such a sweetie!!) as I so loved her card which I somewhat cased (see Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. Deb has given me so many ideas and she is so talented, but always willing to share that talent! Thank you Deb for the design and encouragement and sorry it took me so long to get this done. tyfl

i am so sleepy i can hardly keep my eyes open, but was forcing myself to, for one last quick look through the latest uploads. the hats caught my eye and i thought 'gee, someone else has that stamp'. i was so excited to see it was you! you're so sweet to give me so much credit, but you've really made this your own. and i think what you did with the ribbon is a great idea. i'll have to tuck that one away for future reference. i love the purple and the background. it really suits these old fashioned hats. lovely card, my friend!
