Ok, so I got sucked into Debbie's blog and couldn't get out! I know coaster/chipboard calendars are here too, but I'm giving Debbie credit since it's HER fault I started these and couldn't stop until the last one was done!!
I got this one sheet calendar in the mail from one of those 'send us money' orgs. and of course couldn't throw it away, cause, hey it might come in handy!
Live and learn...I got these coasters at Michaels in the $ bin already decorated (first clue...they're ready to use AS coasters, glossy finish!). I started the first 6 mos. on the back side (also glossy). You know ink, paint, prismas just don't like this kind of gloss and you have to use your heat tool A LOT! Also the colors aren't as vibrant as they tend to fade, but do you think I'd stop? Noooooo, one led to another and another!
Finally when I had to do the 'front' side I cut 6 cs circles, by hand I might add!, and stamped each one before gluing to the coaster.
>hitting forehead!!!< WHY didn't I do that to start?! It was so much easier and the colors turned out so much better!
DH is gonna work on a stand to hang it...so for now it will just have a ring through it and be on the desk here by the puter.
So, there you have it!
crop a dile, variety of inks, prismas, and one with acrylic paints
roses in winter
natural beauty
kids at play
blossoms abound
wild rose
wonderful wings
fantastic foliage
give thanks
basket full of fun
lovely as a tree
kindness is...
TAC something or other;)
