Another thank you card...and I got to play with my new toys I stamped the flowers first with Bashful Blue and then Brocade Blue. Didn't think they would work together when I put the cardstock up next to each other, but stamping the Brocade over the Bashful toned it down enough that I think it really works. My New Year's resolution (along with several other people's) is to upload at least two cards for each stamp set I own, and this one is my second for Blossoms Abound and first for Fancy Flexible Phrases, which took three episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer to mount. I'm trying to use my wheels more too because I think I'm wheel challenged.
Definitely love this color combination! I sponged Mellow Moss over the white paper so it wasn't quite so glaringly WHITE, KWIM? I used the piercing guide to mark where I wanted to punch holes, and then I threaded organdy ribbon through the holes and tied it at the bottom (I glued one side of the ribbon straight down the back and threaded the other one through the holes, then wrapped them both around the bottom corner and tied a bow, if that makes any sense). Even though it's flowers, I still think this is a more masculine card because the colors are muted.

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
