HereÂ’s how I came up with this idea. ItÂ’s the sketch challenge card for the week, I hostess the challenge so I was drawing up the sketch and after saving it to the files I closed the program and my screen wallpaper photo was this huge partial sunflower (enter light bulb icon here) and here it is. The bee seemed the perfect image to go along with the flower.
Okay, so I thought I was pretty cleverÂ…rightÂ…wrongÂ…I was in WaxyoÂ’s gallery today only to find a big olÂ’ sunflower almost like mine; she constructed hers a little different. Just when I thought I was good!
Oh and if you can guess which card of hers just might be featured in an upcoming challenge, IÂ’ll give you a seek peek at that weekÂ’s card!!!
The flower is about five inches along the card edge. Darkest outside panel for the image layers is 2 3/8” by 2 1/8”.
I double stamped the background –Flannel Plaid and Linen. The sunflower is both sizes of Stampin Up oval punches and a 1 ½” circle punch. Edges distressing with a Tonic perforator tool then ink distressed. This card front is mounted on a white cardstock (I’m using up some scrap) so I inked the portion of the card that the slot punch shows through. The ribbon is between the two layers so I won’t show inside.
The sentiment if also from the same set as the bee but IÂ’m a rebel and cut the wording out of the bee and flower images to better serve my needs, I donÂ’t use thank you that often.
Thank you Sue/StampinSusie for the set, I will certainly enjoy it! YouÂ’re so thoughtful!
