The forgotten memories took me back home to Kansas where my dad farmed and our main crop was wheat and I could see it in the sunset the second I saw the poster. So first on the card was the scene then it reminded me of dad and that meant I needed our favorite the sunflower!
We always had a dog (I did get a cute face like the poster) and horses and more but I stopped with two. Then came the memories of catching butterflies and fireflies and horrid memory of the spiders my brothers would catch in a jarÂ…yellow and black and not going on my card but I do admire the architecture of their webs so I tucked it in because the poster featured them.
The rose was for the many wild ones I’d pick for mom and I can still hear my brother saying, “it’ll die before we get back to the house so why do you pick it”…cause I’m a girl and that’s what girls do! And the last thing is the shamrocks for the many clovers we picked hoping to find a four leaf and the little bit of Irish heritage.
The blocked collage I learned here at SCS in the Technique Challenge - week 37. I used a water brush/aqua painter and pad ink for coloring. Sponging was done around the collage and in the sunset scene. All the wording is just a variety of sentiment stamps. I did use a stamp positioner for the collage images. Large tabs are circled punched and folded in half.

Isn't it fabulous that your stamps obliged so well with your memories...or is it that we tend to pick stamps that reflect our memories and past? Whatever way it is, this is truly an inspired card!
