Yesterday in Michigan, we had our first snowfall of the season and, in my area, it was blizzard-like conditions. The falling snow was so beautiful; my husband captured this photo of our backyard. I've never used a photo before to make a card, and I hope this isn't considered cheating, but I felt I just had to use this picture for this week's Ways to Use It challenge to use glitter. So, this card was very easy to put together: used glue on the trees to adhere glitter, punched oval tabs and adhered brads, and stamped 'Happy Hoidays' on the floor of the deck in the picture.

Beautiful! I love using photos for cards - I do it every spring when my azaleas bloom and then I use them for Easter cards (if Easter hasn't already passed). We rarely get snow in Augusta (GA) but when we do, I always make a photo card for that occasion - it's been 3 years since the last snowfall (we had a humongous ice storm 'bout 2 years ago, but no snow).

Great idea ! We had blizzard conditions up here in Southern Ontario Canada too, should have had my camera, but was too busy trying to find my mitts and scaper for the van.....it is zero here this morning...I feel a stamping weekend coming on....
Charlene, I just love this. It's a scene I never get to see in Florida. It is so clever of you to use your glitter on your trees to make them sparkle, I love the sentiment stamped on the snowy patio floor. I would make several cards using this scene. It's beautiful.

Wow, for this card and the snow. I guess you had a bit more than we did in the Chicago area, but if it netted you this very pretty photo and card, maybe (?) it was worth it. I also like the placement of your sentiment - perfect!
