Yesterday in Michigan, we had our first snowfall of the season and, in my area, it was blizzard-like conditions. The falling snow was so beautiful; my husband captured this photo of our backyard. I've never used a photo before to make a card, and I hope this isn't considered cheating, but I felt I just had to use this picture for this week's Ways to Use It challenge to use glitter. So, this card was very easy to put together: used glue on the trees to adhere glitter, punched oval tabs and adhered brads, and stamped 'Happy Hoidays' on the floor of the deck in the picture.

Beautiful. We had snow for 10 minutes & then the sun came back out bright for 2 hours & then gray & really windy but no more snow. Which is ok with me. I'm in North Central Indiana. Not cheating.......totally lovely.
Can't wait to spend January in South East Texas.

Totally awesome. Before I read your comments, I was trying to figure out how did she do the deck so perfect? And then I found out that it was probably your hubby that built the deck so perfect! (You know how we should give the credit where credit is due when we CASE) Wow it is winter there!!! I absolutely love this card, the glittery trees are really cool and the fact that it is a real picture makes it really special. Not a cheater card, but a creative card!

How pretty!!! We got tons of snow yesterday as well -- schools were closed (Michigan's Upper Peninsula) -- and we got even more last night -- very mid-winter here -- but it'll still melt!!! What a fantastic idea you had. In the thumbnail it looked like you recycled a card and now up close if really doesn't look 100% like a photo -- you have touched it up so well -- looks more like a drawing to me -- what a CLEVER AND FANTASTIC JOB!!!
