As you know, I am not an artistic stamper. I adore clean lines, simple designs and a great mix of patterned and solid papers. So setting out to create an ATC is quite difficult as there are very few examples of ATCs with my own personal style of stamping reflected on them!
I am involved in a swap with some of the most talented stampers I know ... so I need to really produce some great ATCs. No pressure, right? Oh, and the deadline is September 20th ... just nine days away!
Had some time to play this afternoon and here are my first two ATCs EVER. Now, please, be kind to me. Be gentle. Tell me you love them. No, seriously, I need to hear some feedback on these babies. I most likely will not be using these for my swap cards, but as a springboard to new ideas for my swap card.
(All images are by A Muse. Patterned paper by Chatterbox.)
So, what do you think? Am I off to an ok start with these?
Let me tell you, it is FAR more challenging for me to create these than it is a full-size card. The size of an ATC (2.5 inches by 3.5 inches) is REALLY small to pull off a great design. Maybe I'll get more comfortable at this as I go along. But I am determined to make a place for stampers like me in the ATC world!!!

This is perfect! I wasn't interested in ATC's until I saw a collection in Stampers Sampler using unartsy images. If they all looked alike there wouldn't be much point to collecting or trading them. I love your style and there's definitely a place for it in the ATC world! I just posted two ATC's I made awhile back. It's a funny feeling, making an ATC. I felt like I had the main image done, now how about the rest of the card?

This is adorable! I love the colors and all of the detail you've managed to get in here without it looking crowded. I wish I would have seen your ATCs before I did mine for the swap. I really struggled (it was my first attempt ever, as well) and I never really felt like I got it right! But I love yours!
