I think I've finally found a method of organizing my stamp sets that works for me. This is for my SU stamps only. (the other odd ones are stored in iris carts)
I've labelled shelves according to the sections in the Idea Book & Catalog. Then each set's box is labelled with a return address label of that section in the lower right corner. A copy of the label sheet is made before mounting the stamps and placed in the stamp box. Helps to see what's missing! I also highlight the set name in my catalog. The green dots on the end of the box denote an Inspiration Sheet is available for that set. The first two "columns" on the top shelf are labelled "Hostess" and "Mini" for those sets during the catalog year. Once in the catalog they are labelled by section and moved to join their "friends". The bottom shelf is for my "Oldies but Goodies" - those retired sets I can't bear to part with. I do store my Monogram stamps on their sides on a separate shelf. I plan to remove them from the boxes to save space.
