I just had to try this. The turquoise spirelli is real, but the black in the upper corner is fake. I used the edge of a piece of card stock to keep the lines straight. I drew them first on the turquoise layer, then glued the top piece on and re-drew the part that got covered. The flower is colored with markers and spritzed with water before stamping.

What a great idea! If I hadn't read your comments, I would have thought "wow, she make the turquoise look so real!" - duh! Fabulous card! Wonderful colors, love the "faux." saving...

wow, wow, WOW! Now I have a new favorite! I always spritz too much - I've gotta practice that b/c this flower is perfect. Love the placement of your brads and the spirellis too.
