Yes, this got out of control! I wanted to do more for today's IC; Polly has so much inspiration, I think I need a nap. And I wanted to do her WT-playing card. I think the playing card got a bit lost.
I used a vintage playing card I bought on Etsy. It's at the top with the blue birds on it. Then I opened up my ephemera drawers (yes, plural) and started going nuts. I got rid of some very old things, like the turquoise felt leaves, some seam binding, some decorative corners. I seem to be into the color scheme of bright green and turquoise these days. I used a gingko leaf gel print but it got a little lost too. But boy did I have fun! I need to do this kind of art more often. I can definitely see things here that would be Polly's style too - and the bright green and teal. I always liked playing cards with fancier backs - that's a really nice deck.
